Overview
UNICEF endorsed the Universal DPI Safeguards Framework, committing to advance its principles across its support to governments, partners, and digital transformation initiatives. The commitment centers on embedding safeguards throughout the DPI lifecycle while promoting child-centred, rights-based, and inclusive approaches that account for children’s specific needs and vulnerabilities. UNICEF will also support multi-stakeholder engagement, strengthen capacity and knowledge sharing through technical assistance and tools, and contribute country experiences and lessons to the DPI Safeguards Action Tracker to support wider adoption.
